Luminescence in Season turns its attention to luminous moments in everyday life, from summer weddings and wandering neighborhood dogs to museums, carousels, family rituals, and grief. Organized in three parts around the triptych poem "Travelogue," the collection moves from dark depths toward the surface, where ordinary encounters reveal unexpected wonder.
Colleen Alles is a Michigan writer, former librarian, and teacher. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in Red Cedar Review, Tar River Poetry, The Write Michigan Anthology, The Michigan Poet, and elsewhere. She is a fiction co-editor with Barren Magazine and is pursuing an MFA in poetry at Spalding University.
